SUMMARY
Responsible for leading the RF engineering team to meet company objectives.
TECHNICAL MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES
Develop quotations ands schedules for development programs with little or no assistance.
Work concurrently with Jabil Design Services in other sites, Business Unit Management, Manufacturing, Test, Purchasing, and Quality departments through the design phase of a program. Work to provide a design that not only meets the customer’s criteria, but is also of high quality, cost effective, and manufacturability.
Help Business Unit Management / Business Development in the decision of the feasibility and technological merit of new opportunities.
Drive continuous improvement through trend reporting analysis and metrics management.
Demonstrate a commitment to customer service; anticipate, meet and exceed expectations by solving problems quickly and effectively; making customer issues a priority.
Confer with Design Manager on complex or unusual situations.
Maintain discretion and confidentiality in all areas pertaining to data and proprietary information, whether internal to Jabil or customer specific.
Solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variable in situations where only limited standardization exists.
Interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form.
Ability to work effectively under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.
Build and debug designs providing feedback to the Project or Lead Project Engineer to assist in product development.
Lead the Engineers in component selection, component evaluation, and schematic entry.
Record all ideas, sketches, and pertinent conversations during design phase. |

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in electronics engineering or related domains required. Master’s preferred;
Eight years experience on RF-related system design engineering, two years experience in senior engineer role, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Five years direct working experience on mobile terminal design preferred
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
Strong knowledge of GSM or other mobile networks architecture and protocols
Strong knowledge of mobile phone hardware architecture and RF transceiver
Ability to operate fundamental RF measurement equipments (spectrum analyzer, power meter, mobile tester, etc.)
Analog and digital circuit and telecommunication knowledge
Knowledge of Bluetooth, Wifi, and GPS
Making/managing RF test plan and report
Ability to analyze and solve RF problems
Coaching and training to factory failure analysis engineer
Build support at factory and analysis of factory measurement results
COMMUNICATION AND LANGUAGE SKILLS -- Oral & Written English
Ability to clearly express the thinking among peoples either within team or external. Easy going.
Ability to read, analyze, interpret and communicate regarding common scientific and/or technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
Ability to respond to common inquiries from customers or members of the business community.
Ability to effectively present information to within teams and senior management. |
